Job summary

Graphcore in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced validation engineer to join a cross-functional team validating high-performance AI chips and platforms. You will lead post-silicon bringup, validating the full AI SoC from silicon to platform, while guiding hardware, firmware and software colleagues.

You will design tests, automate validation workflows in Python, and push continuous improvements to testing and characterisation processes within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Bare metal / embedded C/C++.
• Hands-on debugging and problem solving across teams.
• Experience with post-silicon validation for digital ASICs.
• Ability to lead and mentor colleagues in a multi-site environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across hardware, firmware and software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and debug silicon validation tests on FPGA/Emulator prior to first silicon.
• Deploy silicon validation tests on first silicon and debug them.
• Develop automated test framework and regression tests in Python.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines on varied topics.
• Improve test methodologies and validation infrastructure.
• Analyze results and debug failures; report progress to management.
• Provide feedback to architects and support software teams.
