Job summary

The Shalom Hartman Institute of North America is seeking a Director to shape and execute the Center for Judaism, Israel, and Public Policy’s Washington, DC program slate. Reporting to the VP of Educational Initiatives, you will design high-quality programs, cultivate relationships, and ensure impact that aligns with the Institute’s mission.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in program management, public policy, Jewish communal work, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the Washington, DC policy landscape and key stakeholder communities.
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing complex programs or initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute a robust portfolio of programs, including seminars, briefings, fellowships, and convenings.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable program plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure high-quality execution of all programs, with attention to participant experience, content, and logistics.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and iterate to strengthen impact over time.
