Job summary

OneStream Software is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of core platform frameworks powering the OneStream product suite. You will drive engineering excellence, ensure high-quality, reusable components, and align platform investments with downstream teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, minimum of 6 years in engineering leadership.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a SaaS or financial software environment.
• Strong technical background and familiarity with modern backend and frontend development technologies.
• Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience evolving engineering processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across departments.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the engineering vision aligned with product and company strategy, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Architecture leadership.
• Build, lead, and scale high-performing software engineering teams through strong people leadership and talent development.
• Drive execution of product roadmaps, ensuring on-time delivery, code quality, and alignment with security and compliance standards.
• Understand evolving customer needs and translate them into robust features and capabilities that integrate with the OneStream ecosystem.
• Work cross-functionally with product management, architecture, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Partner with cloud engineering to support platform engineering efforts and deliver scalable capabilities.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence through metrics, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Champion modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps) across teams.
• Oversee SDLC, architecture, and team structure to support scale, speed, and agility.
• Provide coaching and career development for Engineering Managers and Senior Engineers.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technology decisions.
• Identify and manage technical debt and opportunities for platform improvement.
• Represent Engineering in cross-functional leadership forums and roadmaps.
