Job summary

The Town of Bethel is seeking an experienced professional to develop, manage, administer and supervise the programs and activities of the Planning & Zoning Department. This includes administration, supervision of development application reviews, oversight of recordkeeping, and conducting a comprehensive planning and development program for the Town.

This position is responsible for enforcing and administering the Town’s zoning and subdivision regulations; updating and implementing the Plan of

• Strong administrative and recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, administer and supervise the Planning & Zoning Department programs.
• Enforce and administer the Town's zoning and subdivision regulations.
• Update and implement the Plan of Conservation and Development; provide technical services.
• Coordinate reviews with other Town departments; act as a spokesperson for the Planning & Zoning Commission.
