Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, is seeking a Director of Nursing Perioperative Services to oversee OR, PACU, GI, Short Stay, and SPD with 10 operating rooms and advanced technologies.

You will lead operations, set strategy with senior leaders, and drive standardized patient care across fast-paced units in Long Beach, CA. The role requires a BSN plus MSN/MBA/MHA, CA RN licensure, BLS, and at least three years nursing and two years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and Master's degree in nursing or related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
• Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Direct surgical service operations for OR, PACU, GI, Short Stay and SPD.
• Collaborate with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives.
• Advise medical staff, department heads and administrators on patient care and clinical best practices.
• Communicate organizational goals to staff to improve patient experience and quality of care.
