Job summary

Ochsner in Monroe, LA seeks an experienced nurse leader to coordinate education, training, and competency assessment for clinical staff while ensuring regulatory compliance, patient safety, and performance improvement.

This role requires a Bachelor's in healthcare or related field, an active RN license, 5 years' related experience, and BLS; responsibilities include staffing, training, quality indicators, and budget oversight.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops processes that ensure overall safety of patients and employees.
• Strives to continuously improve all aspects of the business operation through quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitors the practice of nursing and ensures safe nursing practice.
• Provides monitoring and oversight for clinical and quality indicators.
• Develops and implements strategies to drive engagement while also ensuring accountability.
• Determines appropriate staffing levels and interviews, hires, and conducts performance reviews of employees as necessary.
• Works with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and management staff to ensure training issues are addressed for new and existing services provided.
• Manages monthly financial statements for fluctuation in variable expenses, identifies trends and makes recommendations.
• Prepares for reviews and approval of preliminary capital and human resources budgets.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education
