Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is seeking a Director, Partnerships and Client Relationships to lead strategic client engagement and governance across pharma and strategic partners. Our Director, Partnerships and Client Relationships will lead SCRI’s strategic client engagement and relationship management function, overseeing key pharma and strategic partner relationships. Responsible for establishing governance frameworks, executive engagement strategies, issue escalation processes, and portfolio performance tracking to strengthen partnerships, drive retention, and support growth.

Leads Strategic Partner Executives and client relations support teams to ensure consistent account management, an exceptional partner experience, and effective cross-functional collaboration. Serves as a senior liaison for strategic partners, managing relationship health, resolving escalated issues, identifying growth opportunities, and advancing collaboration across SCRI, McKesson, HCA Healthcare, and external stakeholders.

This is a US-based remote position; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee strategic engagement across priority partner and pharma accounts.
  • Develop and execute relationship management, governance, and communication frameworks.
  • Monitor partner performance, risks, opportunities, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Lead executive-level issue resolution and portfolio-level partnership reviews.
  • Manage and develop client relationship teams, ensuring scalable and consistent partner support.
  • Use data, feedback, and insights to strengthen partnerships, improve retention, and expand business opportunities.

Qualifications for success include:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Demonstrated and thorough understanding of the oncology clinical trial ecosystem and and how pharma/biotech partners operate within this environment.
  • Ideally has experience working in either a SMO, CRO and/or pharma/biotech organization.
  • Client relations/ account management experience are essential, along with business development and sales experience.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding target goals.
