Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced utility operations leader to build and lead a newly established Operations Portfolio Management organization reporting to the COO. This role shapes project execution across a major utility operation and requires deep portfolio management and operational excellence experience.

The ideal candidate will manage 6 managers and their teams, implement best practices, oversee budgeting and risk, and partner with leaders across multiple business areas while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing leaders and multi-functional teams.
• PMP certification required.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience required.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a newly formed Operations Portfolio Management organization.
• Manage, develop, and mentor 6 Managers and their teams.
• Drive project and program management best practices across utility operations.
• Oversee portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and project execution.
• Partner with leaders across Generation, Transmission, Energy Delivery, and Energy Resources.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting that improve organizational effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and execution.

We are seeking an experienced utility operations leader to build and lead a newly established Operations Portfolio Management organization. This is a high-visibility leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and offers the opportunity to shape project and program execution across a major utility operation.

This role is ideal for a leader with deep experience in utility operations, portfolio management, operational excellence, and large-scale program delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead a newly formed Operations Portfolio Management organization
• Manage, develop, and mentor 6 Managers and their respective teams
• Drive project and program management best practices across utility operations
• Oversee portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and project execution
• Partner with leaders across Generation, Transmission, Energy Delivery, and Energy Resources

What We're Looking For

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 + 20% annual bonus
