Job summary

Google's Data Center CSRM team seeks a Director of Data Center OT Security to define global direction and governance for securing Google's physical and operational infrastructure. You will lead a high‑impact organization and partner with Technical Infrastructure, Cloud CISO, and engineering to secure critical facilities.

You will quantify risk, drive defense‑in‑depth architectures, and advance next‑generation security models at scale, enabling Google Cloud to protect assets and sustain trusted

• Define and direct multi-year OT security architectures for global OT systems.
• Establish governance mechanisms across GDC, Cloud CISO, Corporate Engineering, and PSS to deliver unified security architectures.
• Build, scale, and inspire a global organization of technical managers, engineers, and program leaders.
• Serve as the principal advisor to business and engineering executives on emerging OT, cyber, and infrastructure threats.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in technical infrastructure, industrial control systems (e.g., ICS/SCADA), or cyber security engineering, including 7 years of experience in executive leadership, managing teams.
• 15 years of experience leading technical security programs, risk governance, or critical infrastructure engineering organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline.
• 20 years of experience leading enterprise-scale OT, ICS/SCADA, and cyber security initiatives across global industrial or critical infrastructure environments.
• Executive experience deploying zero-trust or defense-in-depth models across large-scale physical/cyber infrastructure environments.
• Ability to navigate high ambiguity, drive organizational change, and deliver high-impact security outcomes across complex hardware and software ecosystems.
• Recognized thought leadership in emerging OT security standards, liquid-cooling hardware integration, and threat-modeling frameworks.

CSRM is dedicated to protecting the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. As the Director of Data Center Operational Technology (OT) Security, you will define and execute the global direction, strategy, and governance for securing Google’s physical and operational data center infrastructure. You will lead a high-impact organization responsible for proactively identifying, quantifying, and mitigating complex enterprise-wide cyber and physical threats across critical systems. Serving as a strategic executive partner, you will align cross-functional leadership across Technical Infrastructure, Cloud CISO, and engineering organizations to build next-generation secure architectures, drive industry standards, and safeguard Google Cloud’s global footprint at scale.

• Serve as the principal advisor to business and engineering executives on emerging OT, cyber, and infrastructure threats, steering multi-year roadmaps and investment strategies to proactively protect critical assets.
