PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Director of Woodall Program is done for the purpose/s of providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; adhering to and requiring others to abide by the Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) and its regulations; staying abreast of special education rules, best practices, and laws; and serving as a member of the leadership team.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Educational Level:
Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in job related area.
2. Certification/License:
Valid Georgia teaching certification with designated subject matter endorsement; Valid Driver’s License
3. Experience/Equivalency:
Job related experience within a specialized field is required.

5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: working knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures relating to Georgia Rules for Special Education; pertinent laws, codes, and/or regulations; personnel processes; standard business practices; program planning and development; concepts of grammar and punctuation; instructional procedures and practices; age appropriate student activities; safety practices and procedures; conflict resolution; and stages of child development/ behavior.
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including using a variety of software applications; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; strong people skills.
ABILITY is required to schedule a significant number of activities, meetings, and/or events; often gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods.
