Job summary

Queens Hillel in New York seeks a licensed social worker to serve as Director of Wellness, strengthening holistic student engagement across two sites and three campuses. You will supervise staff, connect students with community resources, and lead wellness initiatives that weave care into campus life.

This is a mission-driven role with cultural humility and a deep commitment to supporting diverse Jewish student communities.

Qualifications

LMSW license required; SIFI certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Experience in community-based social work and staff supervision.
Willingness to work at multiple sites across NYC.
Knowledge of NYC support services (food, job readiness, domestic violence, financial literacy).

Responsibilities

Oversee the Social Work Internship program.
Supervise at least 1 staff member.
Build relationships with diverse students to promote wellbeing.
Train staff on wellness practices and weave into organizational culture.
Connect students with culturally sensitive community services.
Establish partnerships to improve access to food (Kosher Grocery Program).
Establish partnerships for career services (CUNY Career Connect) with Commonpoint Queens.
