Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Skandalaris Center Manager of Venture Development to lead the Center's venture development, venture capital, and startup support strategies.

You will oversee the full startup and venture pipeline, including competitions and the co-investment fund, while managing the Center’s investment portfolio across complex funding vehicles. Responsibilities include guiding staff, growing affiliate relationships, and building data-driven reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Relevant experience (5 years) preferred.
• No specific certification/professional license required.
• Experience in entrepreneurship, venturecapital, or startups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, lead, and refine the Center’s Venture Development strategy and staff across initiatives and programs.
• Oversee competitions and investment pipelines across programs such as Global Impact Award and WashU venture networks.
• Develop and maintain data metrics, CRM, reporting dashboards for leadership and staff.
• Recruit, vet, and engage speakers and industry experts to align content with trends in entrepreneurship and venture development.
• Manage budget and financial execution of the venture portfolio, including multiple funding mechanisms.
