Summary

The primary goal of this role is to increase new student enrollment through community and business partnerships within a designated region. Success is measured by meeting or exceeding enrollment targets each quarter.

The Director will market programs to community organizations, conduct local market research, organize outreach activities, and ensure compliance with all policies and standards. Regular travel within the region is expected, with flexible hours to meet partner and campus needs. Reliable transportation and auto insurance are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with university leadership to develop and execute outreach plans aligned with strategic growth goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, businesses, hospitals, military bases, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Partner with admissions and academic staff to promote programs through events, meetings, and agreements.
  • Schedule and conduct visits with partners, maintain a calendar, and meet activity goals.
  • Analyze ROI from outreach activities and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Leverage existing relationships and facilitate community engagement among campus staff and faculty.
  • Enhance awareness of South University’s offerings and market differentiators.
  • Plan and execute on-campus and community events to generate interest and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with academic teams to improve enrollment quality and conversion rates.
  • Identify and develop marketing materials and presentations for outreach.
  • Utilize technology and multimedia tools effectively for presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • At least four years of successful experience in business development, marketing, or similar roles.
  • Experience in higher education marketing, admissions, or market development preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance for travel.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and judgment abilities.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Leadership and active listening skills.

  • Lift and transport presentation materials (at least 20 lbs).
