Job summary

White Oak Healthcare is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation Services to plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. The role reports to Regional Director of Therapy and guides the therapy staff and departmental operations.

The candidate will maintain clinical caseload, lead the IDT, ensure compliant documentation and billing, and drive staffing, recruitment, and engagement while upholding high standards of patient care

Qualifications

  • Must hold current state licensure as an OTA or SLP.
  • Prior management experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
  • Experience with SNF patient populations and therapy services.
  • Proficiency with applicable standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Carries a clinical caseload.
  • Provide direction and leadership to all therapy staff.
  • Ensures program compliance through review for accurate billing, documentation, and support to therapy staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing mix, including recruitment, orientation, development, retention, scheduling and employee engagement of therapy staff.
  • Clinical management of therapy department through patient identification, case management, care planning, and clinical utilization.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to drive clinical excellence and supportive facility culture.
  • Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to Residents in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care.
  • Supervises the scheduling of residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
  • Manages the evaluation and development of in-house therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios.
  • Completes required forms and documents timely, in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Responsible for the overall success of their assigned program/s. They will report directly to Regional Director of Therapy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the Rehab Department.
  • As a facility department head, will actively participate within the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Preferred prior Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima) experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
