Job summary

EH Group Engineering is hiring a Director of Supply Chain to unify sourcing, planning, and inventory across Houston and Nyon. This global role requires building a single supplier base, scaling operations, and leading a multi-continental team with frequent travel to Europe, US, and Asia.

You will shape ERP-driven processes, drive supplier agreements, and own intercompany flows to support rapid growth in energy tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a single global supply base for fuel cell components and balance of plant, serving both production streams and multiple manufacturing sites.
• Consolidate the global supplier base in the first year, and qualify and dual-source critical and long-lead materials across geographies.
• Negotiate global supply agreements structured for scale: pricing curves, capacity commitments, and terms across entities.
• Develop the US supplier base for American-made designations, including tariff strategy and import/export compliance.
• Stand up planning, materials management and inventory control in Houston and strengthen them in Nyon; demand and production planning, MRP, warehouse and allocation of constrained materials.
• Manage consigned inventory held at contract manufacturing and assembly partners.
• Own intercompany material flows between Switzerland and the US, including customs and transfer pricing coordination.
• Own supply chain processes within the ERP implementation: common item master, BOMs, and multi-level structures.
• Manage logistics to customer sites worldwide, including movement of containerized systems.
• Lead a distributed team with direct reports in Nyon and a unified operating model.

EHG is developing cutting-edge fuel cell technology for heavy duty mobility and large-scale stationary power applications. Our uniquely redesigned product is a significantly more compact fuel cell with high power density and lower costs of production. Faced with the challenges of climate change and the transition to a decentralized energy system, EHG seeks to provide high performance and cost-effective fuel cell solutions to our clients and partners.

Founded in Switzerland, EHG is now expanding into the United States, driven by fast-growing demand for onsite power for AI data centers, defense and industry, and supported by a soon-to-be-announced major investment round. We are establishing US manufacturing in Houston, Texas, alongside our established MW-scale facility in Nyon.

We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to run sourcing, planning and materials across both production streams. This is deliberately one global role rather than two regional ones: one supply base, one set of supplier relationships and one approach to planning, so that a stack built in Nyon and a stack built in Houston draw on the same qualified sources and the same commercial terms. You will be part of the founding US operations team, with supply chain team members in Nyon reporting to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and run a single global supply base for fuel cell components and balance of plant, serving both production streams and multiple manufacturing sites

• Consolidate the global supplier base in the first year, and qualify and dual-source critical and long-lead materials across geographies so that neither site depends on a single point of failure

• Negotiate global supply agreements structured for scale: pricing curves, capacity commitments and terms that hold across both entities as volumes grow by an order of magnitude

• Develop the US supplier base in support of American-made designations, including domestic content analysis, tariff strategy, and import and export compliance between the Swiss and US entities

• Stand up planning, materials management and inventory control in Houston and strengthen them in Nyon: demand and production planning, MRP, warehouse and receiving, and allocation of constrained materials between sites

• Manage consigned inventory held at contract manufacturing and assembly partners

• Own intercompany material flows between Switzerland and the US, including customs, documentation, and working with Finance on the transfer pricing of stacks, subassemblies and systems

• Own supply chain processes within the ERP implementation: a common item master, part numbering convention and multi-level bill of materials across both entities, plus subcontract and consignment processes

• Manage logistics to customer sites worldwide, including the movement of containerized systems

• Lead a distributed team, including direct reports in Nyon, placing each capability where it belongs rather than duplicating functions across sites

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience running supply chain across more than one manufacturing site, ideally in more than one country, with a track record of harmonizing rather than duplicating

• Experience building or substantially scaling a supply chain function in a manufacturing business, ideally through a period of rapid volume growth

• Strategic sourcing and supplier development for technical, engineered components, not commodity buying, including qualifying new suppliers from scratch

• A strong commercial negotiation track record with global suppliers, including agreements structured around future volume rather than current spend

• Practical command of cross-border material movement: customs, trade compliance and intercompany flows between legal entities

• Working knowledge of planning and materials management in an ERP environment, with experience contributing to or leading a multi-entity implementation

• Experience managing outsourced manufacturing or assembly relationships, including consigned inventory and supplier-held stock

• Experience managing people remotely and across time zones, including direct reports on another continent, keeping a distributed team aligned without being in the room

• Willing to travel frequently to Nyon, particularly in the first 12 months, and to supplier and partner sites in Europe, the US and Asia

• Must have existing authorization to work in the United States

Desirable

• Supply chain experience in energy, power electronics, battery, electrolyzer or fuel cell manufacturing

• Experience sourcing precious metal or coated materials, and managing their cost and availability risk

• Experience with domestic content requirements, tariff strategy or US manufacturing incentive programs

• Experience supporting a technology or production transfer between sites or countries

• Startup or scale-up experience as an early hire, building processes and a team from the ground up

• Experience working between the US and Europe, Switzerland in particular

• French language ability
