Job summary

Calvary Baptist Church is seeking a Minister of Students to provide strategic leadership for birth through age 30, including Preschool, Kids, Students and College Ministries. The role splits time 75% on Youth/Children and 25% on College/Family ministry, reporting to the Lead Pastor and working with the executive pastoral leadership team.

The position emphasizes a “Meet, Know, Serve and Share” mindset, leadership development, and a pro-family culture, with responsibilities across vision casting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in children and youth ministry preferred.
• Strong organizational and management skills for recruiting, developing and training volunteers.
• Excellent written and oral communication with children, youth and adults.
• Servant leadership with mentoring and team-building abilities.
• Commitment to making disciples and building inter-generational relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and cast vision for Youth and Children ministries, and oversee family ministry programs.
• Provide teaching, training, and development for young adult ministry leaders.
• Create pathways for groups to connect in intergenerational relationships.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders for youth and children programs.
• Develop annual budgets and monitor ministry activities and events.
• Lead weekly student worship experiences and participate in church-wide leadership meetings.
• Collaborate with nursery and children’s ministry to align goals and strategies.
