Job summary

West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School seeks a High School Counseling Director to coordinate the comprehensive counseling program and support academic, college/career readiness, and social-emotional development for all students.

The role oversees 504 accommodations, MTSS, and standardized testing, collaborating with staff, families, and community partners to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in School Counseling preferred.
• Indiana School Counselor License or university letter of impending licensure.
• Experience with MTSS, 504 accommodations, and standardized testing administration.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with collaboration across staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead academic planning, graduation tracking, and student progress monitoring.
• Direct scheduling and master scheduling for the Junior-Senior High School.
• Provide counseling guidance for academic, career, and social-emotional services; support counselors.
• Oversee 504 accommodations, MTSS frameworks, testing logistics, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze assessment data to drive interventions and improve student achievement.
• Coordinate individual and group counseling and assist with crisis response as needed.
• Build relationships with students, families, staff, and community agencies to support students.
• Communicate counseling services, initiatives, and testing information to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
