Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in communications across media (print, electronic, video, social).
• Excellent writing ability and verbal/presentation skills.
• Experience implementing marketing and communication plans with stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Creative Suite tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with mission and priorities.
• Lead editorial calendar and publish content across diocesan channels, including publications like the Texas Episcopalian.
• Manage media relations, campaigns, and major events with leadership input.
• Oversee digital and social media strategy and governance of diocesan properties.
• Provide training and resources to congregations and diocesan staff.
• Coordinate vendor relationships and manage communications budgets.
