Job description

A top-tier Retail services leader, specializing in merchandising, inventory management, and promotional execution across dynamic Retail sectors, is searching for its Senior Manager of Analytics!

Background: Director of Analytics will lead and inspire a high performing team of BI experts, Data Scientists, and analytics professionals to deliver actionable insights. You’ll drive analytics initiatives that empower retail clients to make strategic and data driven decisions. This role blends technical expertise, business strategy, and influential leadership to shape both team and client success.

What You Will Do
  • Define and drive the vision for the Enterprise Analytics function by mentoring teams to deliver high quality analytics and strategic insights for both external retail clients and internal executives, enabling business growth and operational excellence
  • Lead Enterprise Analytics by setting strategy around the most critical business questions, advancing analytical methodologies, and delivering timely, actionable insights while serving as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team to embed analytics into strategic planning and day-to-day decision making that drives measurable business impact
  • Represent the Analytics function in Enterprise digital transformation initiatives across EDW, AI, data transformation, and BI by partnering with Technology teams to deliver scalable platforms and tools, while establishing robust data frameworks that ensure accuracy and reliability across BI, descriptive analytics, and data science models
  • Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team by fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and business impact; setting clear priorities, allocating resources effectively, and mentoring analysts to strengthen both technical expertise and business influence
  • Collaborate with retail clients to identify opportunities where Analytics can enhance revenues by optimizing merchandise displays, forecasting customer demand, refining product mix strategies, improving labor planning for field operations, streamlining inventory management

Responsibilities/Experience

  • Management experience and a strong executive presence are essential for driving strategic retail decisions through analytics
  • Prior hands‑on experience with tools like: SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Alterxy is highly desired
  • Strong verbal communication, client presentation, project management, and prioritization skills required
