Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Director of Powered Land Development to build the function from the ground up. You will source sites for solar and storage deployments, lead entitlement and permitting efforts, and engage local stakeholders to advance feasibility.

You will develop financial models, manage land agreements, and coordinate with Engineering, Finance, and Legal to convert opportunities into bankable projects. Travel to target markets will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in real estate development, engineering, business, planning, or related field.
• 10+ years in energy project development, real estate development, or land acquisition, with utility-scale solar/storage experience.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate prospective sites for solar and storage deployments across target markets.
• Lead entitlement and permitting strategy with local, county, and state officials and stakeholders.
• Support government affairs and community relations for prospective sites.
• Negotiate and secure site control (leases, easements, options) with landowners/agents.
• Represent Redwood with landowners, brokers, and officials during site-selection processes.
