Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for professionalizing and leading the Sales function for the business, achieving its organic growth targets, ensuring those in your organization are in the right roles and properly focused on the right priorities, and developing a compelling and concise value proposition that is consistently delivered to the marketplace. This is a very hands-on role, expected to spend time in the Field with your team, customers, prospects, and other key strategic relationships while working with operations and support partners to exceed customer expectations.
Job Location
This is a remote role. Candidates must be located in one of our major markets in the Western Region, ideally Denver, CO.
Job Responsibilities
- Professionalize the Company’s Sales function; own the financial targets for Sales performance (organic growth), new customer acquisition and Margin Contribution. Ensure these goals are met or exceeded
- Develop and maintain strategies to drive profitable growth and provide world-class service to our customers
- Manage key customer accounts in partnership with Regional and Territory reps and assist in growing the revenue and customer base
- Top-Grade the Sales organization. Identify top performers and those needing training, development, or improvement plans
- Identify and develop future sales leaders, and gaps in markets where sales or service support is required
- Assist with sales presentations to all key customers / prospects. Negotiate and close deals as needed
- Drive full adoption of CRM (Salesforce) within the sales team
- Creates and / or attends customer events, tradeshows, or other events each year to develop brand and product awareness
- Work closely with the operations, sales or product teams on special projects, cost saving initiatives, etc.
- Coordinates and acts as liaison between sales department and other sales related units within BOL and across Oldcastle APG
- Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years in Sales and Sales Leadership roles with organic, high-growth results
- Prefer backgrounds selling Building Products and / or Construction- related materials
- Experience selling into Contractors preferred
- Ability to lead, evaluate, develop, energize, and motivate the Sales team
- Strong CRM expertise and the ability to use this data to deliver more accurate forecasts, measure the proper KPIs and professionalize pipeline management to drive accountability
- Strong training and team development orientation
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Compensation
- $170K - $205K Base Salary
