Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Director of Health & Safety to shape and advance the organization’s safety vision. You will lead enterprise safety strategy, oversee KSMS maturation, and champion industry best practices like HOP and SIF prevention across a multisite network.

The role reports to the Vice President of Safety and can be based in Dallas, TX or Chattanooga, TN. Strong regulatory expertise and strategic leadership are essential to drive risk reduction and a culture of safety excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in health, safety or related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in leadership (multisite preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910/1926, FMCSA) and related standards.
• Experience creating, developing, and implementing safety management systems (ISO-45001, ANSI Z10).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of OSHA and regulatory compliance programs enterprise‑wide.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Operations, and Risk Management to align compliance with business objectives.
• Lead regulatory investigations and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Oversee inspections, audits, and liaison with OSHA and other agencies as needed.
• Develop annual enterprise health and safety strategy and multi‑year roadmaps.
• Translate strategy into budgets, roadmaps, and operational plans.
• Direct cross‑functional teams to meet annual safety objectives.
• Establish enterprise safety KPIs and analytics to guide actions.
