Job summary

City Harvest is seeking a Director of Risk & Safety Management in Brooklyn, NY to lead enterprise risk, insurance, safety, and business continuity initiatives. This senior role reports to the CFO and drives resilience across the organization while advancing a culture of safety and compliance.

The position oversees risk identification, reporting to executives, and coordination with cross-functional leaders to mitigate exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, insurance, safety, or related field.
• Experience managing commercial insurance programs, claims administration, safety initiatives, and risk assessments.
• Professional certifications such as ARM, CPRM, CRM, CSP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise risk management program including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain risk register and facilitate periodic risk assessments with leaders.
• Prepare risk reports and presentations for executive leadership and governance committees.
• Recommend strategies to strengthen resilience and reduce risk exposure.
• Direct the organization's commercial insurance program including property, casualty, liability, workers' comp, cyber, and other coverages.
• Oversee insurance renewals, broker relations, underwriting submissions, policy negotiations, and coverage analyses.
• Develop and implement safety policies, programs, and training to reduce hazards.
• Develop, maintain, test business continuity and emergency plans; coordinate preparedness for disruptions.
• Review contracts to identify risk exposures and ensure proper risk transfer provisions.
