Job summary

Bookmark Medical is seeking a Director of Clinical Documentation to lead risk adjustment across CMS, Commercial, and Medicaid. You will drive RAF performance, ensure compliant documentation, and translate data into strategic actions across markets.

You will partner with market, medical, analytics, and operations leaders to elevate documentation quality, coding accuracy, and program outcomes while developing team leaders and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years in risk adjustment, clinical documentation, coding or healthcare ops.
• 3+ years of leadership managing teams or cross-market programs.
• Experience with Medicare/CMS, Commercial or Medicaid risk adjustment.
• RAF performance, coding quality and provider education experience.
• CPC/CRC/CCS-P certification required.
• Strong knowledge of CMS risk adjustment, ICD-10-CM and RAF concepts.
• Analytical skills to translate data into strategy.
• Excellent executive communication for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Clinical Documentation across CMS, Commercial, and Medicaid.
• Drive RAF performance across markets with defined goals and improvement strategies.
• Lead and develop the Clinical Documentation leadership team and manage staffing and development.
• Develop and execute strategic risk adjustment initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Deliver executive reporting on RAF, coding, and documentation metrics to leadership.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coding integrity across risk adjustment activities.
• Partner with market, medical, analytics, operations, compliance, and tech to align priorities.
