  • Clinical leadership experience; seven years with at least three in leadership.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current license.

  • Direct respiratory services operations and ensure patient-centered care.
  • Lead productivity, staffing, and resource utilization initiatives.
  • Define standards, monitor quality metrics, and drive improvements.

Job Summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is currently seeking a Director of Respiratory Therapy that will provide leadership, direction, and administrative oversight for respiratory therapy services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, efficient, and patient-centered care across facility-level respiratory programs. The role advances respiratory care strategy and establishes practice standards, staffing frameworks, workforce development strategies, and competency pathways that support clinical excellence while aligning operational performance and financial stewardship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Quality, Safety and Professional Practice
  • Advance the respiratory care strategy in alignment with organizational priorities, patient care needs, and emerging best practices.
  • Establish departmental goals, priorities, and performance expectations and monitor progress toward outcomes.
  • Partner with nursing and operational leaders to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the senior respiratory care leader and escalation point for operational and clinical issues.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain respiratory care practice standards consistent with Evergreen policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence-based practice.
  • Define and monitor clinical quality indicators and implement improvement strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives that advance safety, quality, and resident experience.
Operational and Financial Performance
  • Direct operational performance of Respiratory services, ensuring efficient, effective, and patient-centered care delivery.
  • Lead productivity management, workforce deployment, and resource utilization initiatives.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, access, throughput, and financial performance.
  • Monitor key operational and financial metrics and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Respiratory services across facility programs.
  • Advance the respiratory care strategy in alignment with organizational priorities, patient care needs, and emerging best practices.
  • Establish departmental goals, priorities, and performance expectations and monitor progress toward outcomes.
  • Serve as the senior respiratory care leader and escalation point for operational and clinical issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from manager, team members, patients, and family members.
  • Ability to apply concepts and solve practical problems and interpret instructions in multiple forms.
  • Knowledgeable and ability to use office machines and business equipment.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of associate degree from an accredited school. Bachelor’s preferred in Respiratory specialty, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience is required, with at least three (3) years in progressive leadership roles.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current valid license.
