Job summary

Labette Community College seeks a Director of the Respiratory Care program to lead curriculum development, accreditation maintenance, and program evaluation. This full-time role requires directing staff and clinical partnerships across sites.

The candidate will manage accreditation processes, mentor instructors, and ensure high-quality student outcomes in a CoARC-accredited program.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree; if no bachelor’s degree, must meet CoARC requirements within 2 years of hire.
• 4 years of experience as an RRT.
• 2 years of clinical respiratory care experience.
• 2 years of teaching in a CoARC-accredited program or 2 years as a clinical instructor for such students.

• Oversee administration of the Respiratory Care program including curriculum development.
• Maintain accreditation status and ensure program compliance.
• Evaluate program and staff performance.

• Typically, a four-day work week, Monday to Thursday, with the ability to be flexible when visiting clinical sites. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, paid LCC tuition for employees and dependents, Kansas Public Employment Retirement System (KPERS), KPERS 457, 403B with the matching plan, and the Kansas state plan of insurance for medical, dental, and vision. Supplemental insurance is also offered. The salary is based on experience and is to begin within the range of $63,961 to $79,895 annually. This is a full-time, exempt position.
