Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Middlesex County, NJ seeks an experienced Director of Residential IDD Services to oversee a high-quality program that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will guide day-to-day operations and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Starting pay is $57,000 per year. You will lead staff, develop and update ISP/PCP plans, ensure documentation and billing accuracy, monitor health needs, and maintain strong relationships with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
• Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
• Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• May conduct programmatic investigations
• May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
