Community Options, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Director of Residential IDD Services to oversee a high‑quality residential program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage ISP/PCP development, and ensure compliant documentation, medication management, and planning. This role requires license‑level leadership and a commitment to person‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with two years’ full-time experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Experience solving multiple priorities.
• Ability to establish a comfortable relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Contingent upon checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team to support programmatic initiatives and goals.
• Manage team performance through communication, training, and meetings.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
• Develop and update ISP/PCP with interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure ISP/PCP–based support including medication management, meals, behavior.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are accurate and timely.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Manage relationships with families and guardians.
• Possibly conduct programmatic investigations.
• Be on-call in cooperation with other management staff.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Residential IDD Services in Austin, TX. The Director of Residential Services maintains a high-quality program to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person is responsible for supporting the team with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
• Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
• Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
• Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
• Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
• May conduct programmatic investigations
• Required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff

Minimum Requirements
