Arvin Post Acute is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead the therapy department, overseeing physical, occupational, and speech services while building a strong team and promoting outstanding resident outcomes.

This leadership role requires clinical expertise and solid operations knowledge, with responsibilities in staffing, compliance, billing, and program development to enhance quality care and census growth.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or other qualifying rehabilitation program.
• Master’s or doctoral degree preferred when applicable to the discipline.
• Current California professional license in good standing required.
• Eligible disciplines may include Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, or another qualifying licensed rehabilitation professional.
• Physical Therapist Assistants are not eligible to serve as DOR in California for this position.
• Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, reimbursement, compliance, productivity, and denial-management processes.
• Experience with Net Health and PointClickCare preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing clinical and operational priorities.
• Current CPR certification when required by licensure or facility policy.
• Must complete all continuing-education requirements and maintain active licensure.

Responsabilités

• Direct the daily clinical and administrative operations of the Rehabilitation Department.
• Supervise and support therapists, assistants, aides, students, and other personnel.
• Develop staffing schedules based on resident needs and facility priorities.
• Maintain a direct-care caseload while fulfilling management responsibilities.
• Ensure residents receive timely, high-quality rehabilitation services.
• Monitor outcomes and collaborate with therapists to adjust treatments as needed.
• Review programs regularly and implement services for census growth.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
• Monitor documentation for accuracy and timeliness; conduct audits.
• Oversee billing documentation, timecards, and hours reported.
• Recruit, orient, train, coach, and develop rehabilitation staff.
• Promote safe practices and maintain treatment areas.
