Job summary

A leading behavioral health organization in Lompoc is seeking a Director of Recreation to create and lead a comprehensive recreational program focused on supporting clients' recovery. Qualified candidates will have a relevant bachelor's degree and registration as a therapist, with experience in social or recreational programs. Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
• Must be registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license.
• A current CPR certification is preferred.
• Must have two (2) years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead the recreational program with various activities throughout the year.
• Support clients in their recovery journey to create lives worth living.
• Implement a holistic approach including behavioral skill building and medication support.
