Adroit Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Director of Recreation to lead our Recreation Department in Rahway, NJ. This full-time role focuses on designing engaging programs that enhance residents' well-being and create a vibrant facility community.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years as a Recreation Director in healthcare or senior living, a Bachelor's in Recreation or NCCAP certification, and strong leadership and regulatory knowledge to drive program excellence

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Recreation Director in a healthcare or senior living setting is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and care planning processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or NCCAP certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and evaluate activity programs addressing residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.
• Conduct resident and family interviews to tailor recreation programs to individual interests and needs.
• Develop individualized care plans and actively participate in assessments and discharge planning.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and community partners.
• Supervise, support, and train recreation staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for administration.
• Lead quality assurance efforts, survey readiness, and corrective action planning.
• Organize special events, outings, and field trips, including transportation logistics.
• Stay informed on best practices, industry regulations, and community resources to continually enhance program offerings.

Director of Recreation

Adroit Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Recreation to lead our Recreation Department. We're looking for a creative and dedicated professional who can design and manage meaningful, engaging programs that enrich the lives of our residents and foster a vibrant community within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
