Nicely Co. is seeking a Director of Quality to strengthen risk-based testing, defect prevention, test design, automation, release confidence, and quality measurement.

This early-stage role will turn company priorities into clear, dependable work while partnering across functions. It will help create scalable processes, guide the QA function as the company grows, and elevate quality to support ambitious growth plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk-based testing and defect prevention.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams in an early-stage setting.
• Experience translating priorities into measurable plans.

Responsabilités

• Set direction for risk-based testing, defect prevention, test design, automation, release confidence, and quality measurement.
• Translate priorities into documented plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Build lightweight, repeatable processes that fit an early-stage company.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve dependencies and deliver complete outcomes.
• Identify risks early and escalate consequential decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Use evidence and feedback to improve quality, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
• Communicate progress and results clearly to teammates.
• Partner with Founder/CEO on strategy, budgets, and performance measures.
• Build the QA function's roadmap, policies, and future hiring plan.
• Develop future team members through coaching and leadership.
• Balance execution with organizational resilience and scalable growth.
