Job summary

OLIX is seeking a Director of Quality to architect and scale the quality infrastructure as the company moves from development to high-volume manufacturing. You will own supplier quality across a global ecosystem, build the QMS from a blank slate, and drive reliability from tape-out readiness through deployment.

You will lead product qualification, compliance, and field-quality initiatives, partnering with engineering and operations to embed quality thinking early and continuously improve yield

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Quality Engineering or Quality Management in semiconductor, photonics, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience building a Quality Management System from the ground up in fabless or early-stage environment.
• Deep supplier quality expertise managing foundries, OSATs, and contract manufacturers.
• Strong grounding in semiconductor and optoelectronic qualification and reliability standards (JEDEC, Telcordia GR-468 or equivalent).
• Hands-on proficiency with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, FMEA and PFMEA, control plans, 8D, DOE, and CAPA.
• Experience leading product compliance and certification for electronic hardware (CE/UKCA, safety, EMC).
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing partners across Taiwan, Japan, the US, and Europe.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Management System design and certification path from scratch.
• Own supplier quality across foundry, OSAT, CM, and component ecosystem with structured KPIs.
• Define policies, procedures, metrics, document control, and CAPA processes for a fast-moving fabless company.
• Own reliability from component qualification to fleet performance in the field.
• Drive yield, defect, and reliability improvement programs with structured methodologies.
• Establish manufacturing quality systems with OSAT and contract manufacturers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and certification activities for datacentre deployment (CE/UKCA, IEC standards, RoHS/REACH).
• Travel regularly to manufacturing partners to ensure quality alignment.
