Job summary

Woodlawn Health is seeking an experienced Director of Quality to lead our commitment to exceptional patient care, safety, and continuous improvement. This leadership role focuses on driving quality initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence, and collaborating across the organization to enhance patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include guiding the Quality Management Program, directing the Performance Improvement Plan, and educating leaders on quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory readiness, performance improvement, or related healthcare leadership, including at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Quality Management Program.
• Develops departmental goals and performance measures.
• Directs the Performance Improvement Plan.
• Educates leaders and staff on quality initiatives.
• Oversees the QAPI Program and monitors metrics.
• Leads data-driven improvement initiatives.
• Oversees Quality, Risk Management/Compliance and assigned functions.
• Supervises leaders and manages resources.
• Promotes quality and patient safety education.
• Oversees the Patient Safety Program and reviews trends.
• Reports outcomes to leadership, Medical Staff, Board, and regulators.
• Uses benchmarking to drive improvement.

Education and Certification:

• Registered Nurse (RN) required;
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory readiness, performance improvement, or related healthcare leadership, including at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

• CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management).
• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).

• Leads the Quality Management Program.

• Partners with Medical Staff on quality priorities.

• Leads the Quality Improvement Committee.
• Collaborates on quality and patient safety initiatives.

Organizational Collaboration

• Partners with leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Serves as a quality resource.
• Promotes collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
