Job summary

Grail Family Services in San Jose, CA, seeks a Director of Programs to lead the strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of all programs, including state-funded preschools, daycare, FCCHEN, and school-based initiatives. You will guide diverse teams and ensure seamless, data-driven, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in progressive program management with leadership, California education contracts experience, and a commitment to equity and community partnership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive program management experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with State of California Department of Education and CDSS contracts.
• Knowledge of Title V and Title 22 regulations.
• Demonstrated success in staff supervision, budgeting, program evaluation, and strategic planning.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mission-aligned program strategies and initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify strategic opportunities and partnerships.
• Ensure programs meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Build cross-site workflows for coordinated family care.
• Partner with Evaluation Manager for data-driven decision making.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Identify gaps and mitigate risks in program delivery.
• Supervise program managers and support staff growth.
• Collaborate with the Sí Se Puede Collective and community partners.
