NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Director of Program Operations to lead performance management and operational improvements within the Division of Environmental Health. You will coordinate analytics for 311, oversee new program initiatives, and ensure core services during emergencies while collaborating with City partners and stakeholders.

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Division of Environmental Health works to prevent and control illness and injury related to environmental and occupational health risks through outreach, education, surveillance, and enforcement. With staff of 1,000, the Division covers a broad range of subject matter, including oversight of environmental investigations, lead poisoning, injury prevention, occupational health, food safety, childcare, radiation control, recreational and drinking water quality, air quality, climate health, vector control, veterinary public health and pest control. The Bureau of Administration requires staff with strong attention to detail to manage program operations in a variety of areas, including financial analysis, performance management, organizational strategy in times of expansion and contraction, and program initiative implementation.
Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner for Environmental Health Administration, with wide latitude for independent judgment, initiative, problem solving and creativity, the Director of Program Operations will:

They will have knowledge of New York City's administrative processes and will be an effective collaborator.
