Job summary

Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of New York, seeks a Director of Program Development to advance grantmaking initiatives and new programs. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and guide LUCHA and related initiatives from concept to operations, collaborating with divisions and funders.

Role emphasizes program design, measurement, and expansion of CCCS services, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, reporting, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of grants administration or program development experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating across departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication for funders and leadership.
• Experience with budgeting and reporting to funders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the LUCHA Initiative and other grantmaking programs administered by CCCS.
• Manage grantmaking timelines, workflows, and internal coordination, and ensure alignment with program goals, funder requirements, and deadlines.
• Work with subgrantees to define scopes of work, approve key changes, and resolve issues that affect delivery of program goals.
• Manage the ongoing relationship with the grantee portfolio, track progress on deliverables, conduct site visits, and troubleshoot escalations.
• Partner with Finance and Contracts Management on grant agreements, payment schedules, and compliance reporting.
• Contribute to working group meetings with other partners and funders in the grant making process.
• Support the Communications and Marketing team in sharing the work, progress, and impact of grantees.
• Review performance including monitoring reporting and other key deliverables for subgrantees.
