Mackie Myers Ltd. is seeking a Director of Procurement in North Los Angeles County, CA, on-site to lead strategic sourcing across direct and indirect spend for a growing food and beverage manufacturer.

• 8+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Experience in food, beverage or CPG manufacturing
• Proven track record of negotiating complex supplier contracts
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, packaging and total cost of ownership
• Experience scaling procurement in a growing business
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field; MBA or CPSM a plus
• A collaborative, hands-on leader comfortable on the plant floor and with senior leadership

Compensation: $170,000 – $200,000 base + bonus and benefits

About the company

Our client is an established, growing food and beverage manufacturer. With strong momentum and an expanding customer base, they're looking for a strategic procurement leader to strengthen and scale the function.

The role

The Director of Procurement will own strategic sourcing and supplier management across direct and indirect spend. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can build scalable processes, negotiate with confidence and partner closely with operations, finance and supply chain in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the procurement strategy across raw materials, packaging, MRO and indirect spend
• Lead sourcing events, including RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiation and long-term agreements
• Build supplier scorecards, business reviews and corrective-action plans to improve quality, cost, service and delivery
• Reduce supply risk through supplier diversification and contingency planning
• Partner with Finance on standard costs, budgeting and savings tracking, with clear reporting to leadership

What you'll bring
