(...overview text continues…) This role focuses on driving process engineering system management, best practices, and productivity improvement across our Northeast facilities in McElhattan, PA and Lewistown, PA.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross‑functional leaders in Operations, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to align divisional initiatives for the Northeast sites.
- Drive efficiency improvement and scrap reduction through continuous improvement tools across all plants.
- Provide roadmap and training for reliability, center‑lining, pinning, and run‑to‑target processes.
- Set and enforce engineering system standards across the AbHy divisions.
- Own productivity projects, engaging plant personnel to achieve consistent targets.
- Offer expertise and training on software, data analytics, SPC, and related best practices.
- Build and lead a team focused on process reliability and system excellence.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure raw materials and processes meet specifications and design parameters at all sites.
- Operate as an individual contributor and leader as needed.
- Promote safe practices and environmental commitments aligned with company policies.
- Develop proposals, budgets, CERs, and purchase recommendations.
- Develop and facilitate engineering training programs.
- Define engineering improvement objectives and content for the team.
- Facilitate and conduct process engineering workshops.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum ten years of experience in a high‑speed manufacturing environment, leading continuous improvement.
- At least five years of experience with business‑related software systems.
- Exceptional analytical problem‑solving skills; training in SPC and DOE with proven application.
- Track record of implementing new systems and procedures.
- Strong computer proficiency with MS Office and related software.
- Excellent communication skills, executive presence.
- Ability to act as a business partner.
- Data‑driven, disciplined, objective, and detail‑oriented.
- Strong lean manufacturing experience (e.g., material pull systems).
- Strong experience with error‑proofing and design principles.
- Requires 20% travel to other FQ sites and suppliers.
