G&E Partners in Atlanta, a leading ENR-ranked GC, is seeking a Preconstruction Leader to guide estimating operations, strategic bid planning, and team development to win work.

Based in Atlanta with regional travel, you will collaborate with executives, project managers, and preconstruction teams to ensure accurate bids and smooth project hand-offs, while fostering strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with leadership responsibility.
• Proven success delivering large-scale projects and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead Estimating Operations across the Atlanta office, ensuring accurate and timely bid preparation.
• Develop and implement bid strategies to improve win rates and profitability.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of estimators with training and process adherence.
• Evaluate project risks, material and labour costs, and subcontractor pricing for cost certainty.
• Collaborate with executives, project managers, clients, and preconstruction teams to ensure clear communication and successful hand-offs.
• Maintain strong subcontractor and supplier networks including prequalification and coverage.

G&E Partners are currently working with one of the largest ENR ranked GCs in Atlanta, seeking a Preconstruction Leader to join them in their upcoming growth efforts.

The role is with a GC who are aggressively expanding their Atlanta division after establishing a strong presence both state and nationwide. Their growth plans make this role a critical hire for them as the ability to bid and win work will only aid their growth plans.

Roles and Responsibilities(Not Exhaustive):

• Lead Estimating Operations: Oversee all estimating activities across the office, ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely bid preparation for diverse construction projects.
• Strategic Bid Planning: Develop and implement bid strategies that align with company goals, market conditions, and client needs, focusing on win rates and profitability.
• Team Management & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of estimators, ensuring consistent training, process adherence, and professional growth.
• Risk Assessment & Cost Control: Evaluate project risks, material and labour costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure comprehensive, well-analysed estimates and cost certainty.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with executives, project managers, clients, and preconstruction teams to ensure clear communication, seamless project hand-offs, and strong client relationships.
• Trade Partner Relationships: Build and maintain a strong network of subcontractors and suppliers, including prequalification, bid coverage and performance feedback

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale projects.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Long-term tenure with reputable General Contractors (5+ years at a single firm preferred).
• Must be based in or open to relocating to Atlanta; regional travel required.
