Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, MI is seeking a Director of Pickleball to oversee all pickleball programs, clinics, leagues and events. You will manage budgets, staff and growth strategies to deliver exceptional member experiences.

The role requires 5+ years of pickleball coaching or 10+ years of tennis coaching with pickleball play, strong organizational skills, and a passion for innovative, inclusive programming. On-site leadership and community engagement are essential.

• Minimum 5 years of experience coaching pickleball or 10+ years coaching tennis plus 4 years playing pickleball and 1 year coaching are required.
• Experience with oversight of budgets greater than $300,000.
• Experience with all levels of pickleball from youth to seniors.
• Playing level of 5.0+ required.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to create, develop, and oversee new and existing adult programs.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $35.00 Hourly

Under the direction of the Director of Racquet Sports, the Director of Pickleball oversees all functions related to the Tennis Center’s pickleball programs. The Director of Pickleball will work to ensure efficiency and growth in all related programs, clinics and special events hosted by the Tennis Center. The Director of Pickleball will maintain high program and member retention rate is of utmost importance. The Director of Pickleball will plan, manage and perform all administrative and clerical tasks necessary for the operation of our pickleball program at the Tennis Center. The Director of Pickleball must be a results-oriented leader dedicated to innovation, inclusivity, and excellence across the programs. The Director of Pickleball is expected to model servant leadership, uphold Greater Midland’s Purpose and Values, and foster a culture of excellence and integrity throughout the organization.

Qualification Requirements

• Experience with all levels of pickleball from youth to seniors
• PPR, IPTPA or equivalent certifications are desired
• Playing level of 5.0+ required
• Outstanding organizational and administrative skill
• Ability to create, develop, and oversee new and existing adult programs
• A passion to create a memorable customer experience for our clients
• Ability to demonstrate program growth and success

Physical Requirements

Office is located in the Greater Midland Tennis Center. Regular communication and contact with members, guests, leadership and other staff. Occasional keyboard activity and sitting at computer; standing and moving on court for extended periods of time.
