Job summary

South Sound Behavioral Hospital invites applications for a Director of PI/Risk to lead the Performance Improvement and Risk programs. You will design and oversee comprehensive processes that support leadership, medical staff and the Quality Committee in a therapeutic environment.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of healthcare quality improvement experience and a state nursing or mental health license (WA preferred). Proficiency with Excel and strong business writing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing or a health-related field preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing or mental health related field in the state of Washington preferred.
• Computers skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, and business writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support performance improvement activities daily and ensure action is taken per policies and procedures.
• Review department performance measures and coordinate reports to the Quality Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Board.
• Maintain records of performance improvement measures and statistics.
• Share data with committees and departments/services as needed.
• Assist with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state surveys.
• Responsible for collection of data and submission of results for ORYX monitoring for Joint Commission and IPF for CMS.
• Receive and log all official correspondence from accrediting agencies.
