Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton, part of Lifepoint Health, is opening a brand-new 40-bed rehabilitation hospital in spring 2027. We seek a Director of Pharmacy to lead daily operations, set policies, and drive improvements with cutting-edge technology.

Candidates should have a BS Pharmacy and a current state license; PharmD and/or MBA/MS preferred; five years hospital pharmacy leadership experience; strong management and program development skills.

Qualifications

• BS Pharmacy required; PharmD and/or MBA/MS preferred.
• Current state license to practice pharmacy.
• Minimum five years' experience in hospital pharmacy.
• Demonstrated management/leadership skills and/or program management.
• Experience in leading department operations and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hospital pharmacy operations and administration.
• Develop goals, policies and procedures for the department.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality of service.
• Lead installation and implementation of new services and automation.

A Director Of Pharmacy Who Excels In This Role

• Demonstrates administrative responsibilities related to daily operations management.
• Develops goals, objectives, policies and procedures for departmental operation
• Works to improve services provided and assure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Keeps leadership informed of operational activities, needs and problems.
• Drives installation and implementation of new services, procedures and pharmacy automation products.
• Fosters teamwork throughout the organization.
• Develops and executes Performance Improvement Programs involving pharmacy operations.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• BS Pharmacy required, PharmD and/or MBA/MS (or equivalent education/experience) preferred
• Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy.
• Minimum five years' experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.
• Demonstrated management/leadership skills and/or program management
