Job summary

National Health Foundation seeks a Director of Outcomes and Evaluation to lead organizational research, data collection, and impact assessment. You will develop data systems, oversee qualitative and quantitative analyses, and collaborate with executive leadership to align programs with evidence-based practices.

The role reports to the CEO and requires guiding evaluation efforts across initiatives addressing social determinants of health, homelessness, and community health outcomes in Los Angeles

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Behavioral Science, Social Science, Health Services Research, Public Policy, Evaluation, or a closely related field
• PhD – Preferred
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in research, evaluation, healthcare, public health, community-based programs, or related field
• Experience designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation projects
• Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting complex data
• Experience evaluating healthcare, homelessness, or community-based programs preferred
• Experience developing program outcome measures, evaluation frameworks, and theories of change preferred
• Experience producing research reports, publications, or presentations preferred
• Supervisory or project leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for organizational research, evaluation, data collection, and impact measurement activities
• Develop and implement an organization-wide research and evaluation strategy
• Identify research priorities and evaluation opportunities with executive leaders
• Lead research projects from design through dissemination
• Establish data quality, security, storage, and retention protocols
• Ensure data requirements are practical and consistently implemented
• Develop evaluation frameworks, logic models, outcomes measures, and KPIs
• Establish baselines and performance benchmarks
• Translate goals into measurable outcomes
• Support leadership in using findings to strengthen programs and inform decisions
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses using appropriate methodologies
• Interpret data and translate findings for executives and stakeholders
• Develop data collection tools and instruments
• Maintain knowledge of social determinants of health and related fields
• Prepare reports and dashboards for grant reporting and fundraising
• Communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Collaborate across departments to disseminate findings
