Job description

The Director of Sartell Operations is responsible for deploying operational and supply chain strategies to support company growth. This individual will lead the company’s operations in Sartell, Minnesota, and the approximately 300 team members dedicated to meeting customer needs. As the leader of DeZURIK’s largest operation, the Director of Sartell Operations will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Municipal and will serve as a strategic partner in running the business.

Major elements of the Director of Sartell Operations’ responsibilities include:

• Lead operational and supply chain strategy to meet customer care and company growth objectives.
• Lead functional areas, including manufacturing, purchasing, planning, maintenance, site safety, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering.
• Engage, inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
• Drive improved customer responsiveness and labor productivity through improved processes and systems to support growth and deployment of lean methodologies.
• Be a strong business partner to the Municipal Business Unit leadership team. Develop and deploy strategy in a collaborative manner.
• Maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.

Candidate Profile

The Director of Sartell Operations will have a proven track record of success leading manufacturing and supply chain activities. The fully qualified candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred. This individual should have a minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in operations leadership. Experience in a high-mix low-volume (HMLV) production environment is a plus, as is experience with machining and assembly operations. Familiarity with a union environment is preferred. We are seeking an executive known for engaging the workforce, facilitating improved customer responsiveness, and enabling sustainable growth.

The successful candidate must have excellent business acumen and operations aptitude with strong communication skills and the ability to think strategically. This individual will be an operations executive with an outstanding track record and a reputation for driving improvement, business judgment, leadership skills, and integrity. This individual must have the ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization.

Location

The Director of Sartell Operations will be based in DeZURIK’s headquarters location in Sartell, Minnesota.

We offer a competitive base salary in the $175,000 to $225,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in long-term incentives, including a stock appreciation rights (SARs) program.
