Bookman Consulting is representing a wealth management client in Manhattan Beach seeking a Director of Operations. Hybrid role requiring on-site presence 3x per week and 2x work-from-home. The position focuses on optimizing team operations, systems, and workflows with leadership across client service, compliance, marketing, HR, and more.

A clean U4 and wealth-management industry background are preferred. The role offers potential growth toward a COO path, with a salary around $150k–$170k plus

Job description

Our client is an established and quickly growing Wealth Management Firm with an existing team and resources in place. This person could come from the firm ops side of the business, or even an advisor who would like to focus more heavily in day in/day out team ops and management. No business development involved in this role! This person must understand how a wealth management team operates, and have some experience managing others in the office.

This is a newly created role due to growth.

Director of Operations (Manhattan Beach - Hybrid):

• Must be willing to be on site 3x a week (2x a week from home)
• Must have excellent communication and management skills
• Must have experience working within a wealth management company (RIA, broker/dealer, wirehouse, etc)
• Will oversee and analyze team-wide operations, systems, and workflows
• Will lead and coordinate across all verticals including client service, compliance, marketing, HR, etc
• Must have a clean U4 (no disclosures)
• Opportunities for growth and development towards a COO role are possible
• Salary range is likely to be around $150k-$170k all in + benefits, PTO, etc
