Job summary

M&M Manufacturing in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Director of Operations to lead multi-site production, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive operational excellence, shape strategy, and mentor a high-performing leadership team to achieve safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals.

The role requires a strategic operator who stays connected to the shop floor, with a track record of improvements in safety, quality, and productivity across manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, preferably in metal fabrication, HVAC products, or related industries.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, managers, or multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing operations across M&M Manufacturing, including production, safety, quality, maintenance, materials, inventory, and operational performance.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, coach, and develop a strong leadership team, including managers, supervisors, leads, and frontline employees.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company policies, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Drive accountability for key performance indicators, including throughput, efficiency, scrap, labor utilization, lead times, inventory performance, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with planning, purchasing, logistics, customer service, sales, engineering, quality, and finance to align production priorities with customer and business needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other tools.
  • Oversee production planning and resource allocation to ensure labor, equipment, materials, and capacity are aligned with demand.
  • Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, capital planning, and facility readiness.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance for the operation.
  • Identify and lead initiatives that reduce waste, improve workflow, and strengthen plant performance.

This person should be comfortable leading through others, developing teams, using data to drive decisions, and creating a culture rooted in safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.Required qualifications include:* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
