The Spirit of the Position:

The Healthcare Valet Director of Operations supports the General Manager with full oversight of the healthcare valet team, financial performance, and daily operations across an assigned hospital and medical facility portfolio. This role ensures safe, compassionate, and efficient valet services in a 24/7 healthcare environment where patient experience, accessibility, and service excellence are critical.

As a company devoted to an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Director of Operations will lead, support, and develop healthcare valet teams while implementing programs and initiatives from the home office and addressing the unique operational needs of hospital clients, patients, visitors, and clinical staff.

Principal Job Duties:
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight of healthcare valet teams across multiple hospital and medical campus locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, facilities teams, and key healthcare stakeholders to support service excellence and client retention.
  • Ensure patient, visitor, and staff satisfaction through high-touch, hospitality-driven valet service standards.
  • Oversee daily valet operations including patient drop-off/pick-up areas, emergency department lanes, and high-volume entrances.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Valet Managers, Supervisors, and frontline valet staff to meet operational and service goals.
  • Create staffing plans, scheduling strategies, and training programs tailored to healthcare environments and peak patient volumes.
  • Ensure all healthcare valet team members follow safety protocols, ADA compliance standards, infection control expectations, and hospital policies.
  • Drive performance through operational metrics, service scores, and financial reviews for each healthcare location within the portfolio.
  • Prepare and review budgets, labor management plans, and monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Plan and execute seamless openings, transitions, and onboarding of new healthcare valet locations.
  • Implement service recovery strategies for patients and visitors in sensitive or high-stress situations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the healthcare valet team and hospital administration, security, and emergency management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations between the client and organization.
  • Support regional business development efforts including proposals, presentations, and operational transitions for new healthcare accounts.
  • Participate in labor relations and collective bargaining management if applicable.
  • Monitor operational trends, staffing efficiency, and service levels to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead by example by fostering a compassionate, patient-first culture aligned with organizational values.
  • Implement and complete additional projects, programs, and operational initiatives related to the healthcare valet portfolio.
Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience:
  • 5+ years in a leadership or multi-site management role.
  • Required: Previous experience leading a Healthcare Valet team, Hospitality Valet team, or Valet operations.
  • Experience in hospital, medical campus, or high-volume service environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing healthcare valet teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a patient-first and hospitality-driven mindset.
  • Ability to lead with empathy, professionalism, and discretion in healthcare settings.
  • Strong coaching and team development abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with hospital executives, clinical staff, patients, and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and manage 24/7 healthcare operations with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, contracts, and healthcare client expectations.
  • Strong organizational and operational planning skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, and wind.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods across large healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and move frequently throughout a shift.
