Job summary

ECPI University in Lake Mary, FL, is seeking a Director of Nursing for the RN Program to lead admissions, progression, and graduation of students. You will recruit and evaluate nursing faculty, supervise course materials, and coordinate Advisory Board activities, ensuring program outcomes align with accreditation standards.

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in nursing, an active RN license in the program state, and a track record in academic leadership and curriculum

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (ACEN/CCNE)
• Current unrestricted RN license in the state of the program
• Leadership experience in an academic nursing program

Responsibilities

• Oversee admission, progression, and graduation of RN students.
• Evaluate student progress based on program objectives.
• Interview and select nursing faculty.
• Supervise and evaluate program faculty; conduct in-class reviews.
• Orient new faculty to university and program policies.
• Provide evaluation and feedback on courses and materials; coordinate Advisory Board meetings.

The Director of Nursing for the RN program

Responsibilities

Students

• Oversee the admission, academic progression and graduation of students.


• Evaluate student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives.

Faculty

• Interview and select nursing faculty who are qualified and contribute to the program and student outcomes.


• Supervise and evaluate program faculty including in-class reviews of each instructor.


• Orient new faculty to policies and procedures of the University and the program.

Program

• Provide evaluation and feedback to the program on course materials, current changes in practice, standards of practice, and student accomplishment of course and program outcomes.


• Plan and lead program Advisory Board meetings.

Professional Development

• Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education programs and academic courses.


• Ensure program faculty remain current in trends, issues and practices in the field, as well as effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.

Qualifications

Education/Credentials

• Masters degree in Nursing from an institutional accredited school (either ACEN, CCNE, etc).


• Current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State in which the program is licensed

Experience

• Minimum of two years of registered nursing experience


• Minimum of two years of experience as a full-time faculty member in an approved nursing program


• Minimum of two years full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse
