Job summary

Tender Care Medical Services of Gainesville is seeking a Director of Nursing, RN, to lead our pediatric nursing team in Gainesville, FL. The DON will oversee patient care activities, supervise licensed nurses, and ensure high-quality outcomes in a PPECC setting.

The ideal candidate has Florida RN licensure and prior pediatric management experience, with a compassionate approach to medically complex children and families. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse License.
• CPR or BCLS certification.
• Minimum of two years management in a pediatric setting caring for a medically or technologically dependent minor.
• Experience with pediatric patients with behavioral or developmental challenges.

Tender Care Medical Services of Gainesville is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPECC) providing compassionate, specialized care for medically complex children. Join our dedicated team and help children thrive in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.

We are seeking a Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse (DON, RN) for our Gainesville, Florida location who is compassionate, attentive, and passionate about pediatric healthcare. You will provide hands-on care, monitor patient health, and supervise structured activities while working alongside licensed nurses and healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Florida Registered Nurse License
• Certification in Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Minimum of two years of management in employment in a pediatric setting caring for a medically or technologically dependent minor (or at least two years of supervision in a pediatric centered intensive healthcare specialty settings)
• Patience and compassion when working with children with behavioral or developmental challenges
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay attentive in a busy healthcare setting
• Strong observation skills and teamwork
